What is a Postpartum Doula?
|
A postpartum doula is a person who is trained and knowledgeable about newborn care. She is experienced in teaching and guiding new parents with their infant the first few weeks at home. This applies to knowledge and education on postpartum depression and infant development.

Scheduling
Postpartum Doula Care is offered in blocks of time
ranging from 3-7 hours. My coverage area includes
a 20 minute travel radius. However, I make
exceptions depending on need and availability.
A free Prenatal Consultation is included with Doula
Care. This is a great opportunity to meet, and
answer questions. There is no obligation—it’s
important that we are both comfortable. If not,
than I’ll try to help you find someone who can better
meet your needs.
I schedule clients on a first-come, first-serve basis.
However, many clients have contacted me after
delivery, when they suddenly find themselves
needing help. So, please contact me if this is the
case.
Fees for postpartum services
range between $25 and $35 per hour. Please
contact your doula directly to inquire about the cost
for daytime and overnight postpartum care.
Reduced rates may be available to clients in need,
please ask.
The peace of mind and experience of being
supported during this important time is one of the
most valuable gifts you can give to yourself.
Request the gift of postpartum care from friends and
family who want to offer their help when your baby
arrives. Gift Certificates are available in any amount.
